Whether you are looking for a Spokane, WA Family Photographer or a Spokane, WA Wedding Photographer, Hannah Kaye Photography has the passion and experience to service your needs!

Choosing a photographer can sometimes feel like a daunting task, but here is a list of the “Four P’s” you should keep in mind when looking for a Spokane wedding photographer or Spokane family photographer!

1 | Personality

Wedding: Selecting your Spokane wedding photographer is a big deal.  Not only are you choosing a photographer for your wedding day but you are also hiring someone that will be interacting with you and your loved ones ALL DAY on your wedding day. Therefore personality becomes a huge part of the selection process. Your Spokane wedding photographer’s personality can set the tone for your entire wedding day and can ultimately impact your wedding photography altogether.  Think about your personality, your family dynamics, and your bridal party.  Do you want someone high volume and outgoing or would you prefer a more quiet and calming energy surrounding you on your wedding day? Perhaps someone who can offer a bit of both? It’s an important decision and more importantly it is completely YOUR decision.

Family: When selecting your Spokane family photographer, you also want to consider personality. What kinds of emotions does the photographer emote though their work? Are they patient, understanding, easy-going, upbeat, goofy, etc.? Talk with potential photographers about your family, and your goals for the session. Their response (as well as their portfolio) will be great indicators if they will be a good fit for your Spokane Family Photography desires!

2 | Promptness

Promptness is something you definitely need to consider when selecting your Spokane wedding photographer or family photographer.  How quickly do they answer your emails? Are they on time for your meetings? How soon after your family session, engagement session or wedding day will your images be ready for viewing?

Speed does not necessarily mean poor quality! A prompt wedding photographer will be on top of the time all the time, it’s part of the job. You don’t want to be waiting a month after your wedding day to see your wedding photos. Your Spokane photographer should make you a priority. Don’t be stuck waiting!

3 | Passion

"If you don't love what you do, you won't do it with much conviction or passion." -Mia Hamm

Passion is so incredibly important, especially with art. Your Spokane wedding and family photographer should ooze love for their craft. Is money the driving force? Or do they genuinely ENJOY what they do? I promise it makes a difference.

4 | Price

Price is always a major factor when selecting your Spokane wedding photographer or Spokane family photographer. Duh, right? Especially for weddings, yes, budget plays a big role when it comes to your vender decisions, but it’s something to seriously think about. There are so many horror stories out there from brides who decided for their wedding photography based purely on price and getting the “best deal”- Don’t let that be you! When all is said and done, your wedding photography will be one of the most prominent things you have to remember your wedding day. Make sure you are investing wisely!

Same goes for family photography. Your Spokane family photographer should obviously be within your budget needs, but also should be thought of as an investment. A great photographer is helping to capture your beautiful family in whatever stage of life you may be at, and all stages are special and important!
